Tracking the Bodega Félix Solís

Today, the Visionary Track follows the path of a company that knew how to overcome difficulties and triumphs in foreign markets.

Bodega Félix Solís Avantis, a pioneer in wine exports and elected the best Spanish Bodega in 2018, winning the International Berliner Win Trophy with seven gold medals and one silver.

Founded in Valdepeñas more than 60 years ago, Felix Solís Avantis disseminates brands as popular as Los Molinos, Caliza, La Única, Arnegui and many others.

The creators of the company, Félix Solís Fernández and Leonor Yáñes, perhaps did not imagine the creation of a company, Spanish pioneer in export. Fabulous to predict that their children and grandchildren would take their name and family strength into a company where success goes through generations.

'The first step outside Valdepeña was in Madrid. With the transfer of wine bottling to the square of Quevedo in the 1960s, in Madrid, they started selling to the most famous restaurants in Spain. In a short time, the company became recognized among the general public. For its quality, the wine won Spanish celebrities, who quickly became prominent customers.

At that time, however, the system of designation of origin was installed in Spain. This system requires that both the wine and the grape were from the same place. Thus, in the 1970s, Félix returned to Valdepeña to build the current Bodega and therefore face the task of exporting.

Although production was well fueled by the Spanish market, to boost the company's growth further, the today's, president Félix Solís Yáñez, began the company's internationalization.
The first country chosen was Germany. Félix began the international career by taking his wines to Spanish emigrants who had set up drinks and food business in post-war Germany.

Bodegas Félix Solís currently exports to 85 countries on five continents. The company has branches on three continents, Europe (Germany, France, United Kingdom and the Czech Republic); America (two in the United States) and Asia (two in China), as well as representation workshops in Mexico and Japan, and its winery in Chile.
In addition to these branches, the company has employees based in Spain, who travel to the market of attractive destinations.

The company makes an effort to capture market fluctuations and adapt to consumer needs and demand. The international business strategy focuses on being flexible enough to adapt to each country specificities.

Knowing the customer is undoubtedly the formula for the success of Bodegas Félix Solís Avantis. Besides that, it is clear that the secret of this company is nothing else than hard work, respect for their brands and clients and the continual growth vision.
